300 benefitted from heart and kidney check-up

Kathmandu, Feb 11: Some 300 people underwent heart and kidney check-up at the free health camp hosted at RSS premises today.

The free camp was organised by RSS Employees’ Association with joint support of Kathmandu chapter of Nepal Hearth Foundation and District Public Health Office, Kathmandu, on the occasion of coming 56th anniversary of the RSS.

A team comprising senior cardiologist Dr Premlal Baidya, Dr Urmila Shakya, Dr Lakshyshor Pradhan Shah, Dr Jyotsana Parajuli, Dr Pragya Silwal, Dr Bharosa Sharma and Dr Apurba Shrestha carried out heart check up.

Out of those who underwent heart check-up, four children have been recommended for further treatment after some problems were diagnosed in their heart.

Similarly, Lab Technicians of the District Public Health Office, Kathmandu, Raj Kumar Mishra, Bholanath Poudel and Rupa Budhathoki had carried out kidney check-up of 193 people. One hundred and 34 people underwent diabetes test.

Kathmandu chapter chairman of Nepal Hearth Foundation, Surendralal Shrestha, said that many youths and women are found suffering from heart disease and urged all to pay attention on lifestyle and food. RSS
